A woman’s reproductive system is not as simple as you may think it may be and understanding of the difference aspects and functions is important to avoid any complications that may occur out of ignorance. Normal to heavy bleeding during the menstrual circle is okay and it will vary with climatic conditions, health and nutrition, changes in the diet and also with age. There is no harm on those changes and you should just be extra careful not to overlook other symptoms that may occur from time to time.

However, abnormal bleeding other than at the time of menstrual cycle can have different meanings and you should not ignore these signs. The reproductive system is a combination of organs working together to reproduce something very precious and you don’t wish to ignore signs that are telling you that there is something wrong somewhere. Contraceptive pills and hormonal problems can create heavy bleeding in some women; however that is not something you should really worry too much about because it is all a natural reaction of the body. Also, a miscarriage will give you maybe a late heavy bleeding; however, it will not last for very long.

Taking good care of your hygiene and your reproductive organs is a very important aspect of good health.  Therefore, if you are having prolonged abnormal bleeding and do not seem to find the reason for it, it is very much advisable to get proper guidance from your doctor well in time. There are many factors which may include having a rupture or tumors in your uterine lining which can become cancerous if not treated in time. Leaving a tampon in the vagina may cause an infection and give you lots of trouble in the process.

If you are pregnant or just had a child, you should definitely take extra precautions as you may not really know exactly what may be happening or what is creating the whole situation in the first place. If you have other symptoms along with the abnormal bleeding which include fever and or unusual discharges, then you may have an infection, however, it is important to find the real cause of the problem and treat it before it starts to complicate other parts of our system.

There are other symptoms which include vaginal discharge and it does not necessarily have anything to do with sexually transmitted diseases, although of course, sexually transmitted diseases can give a woman lot of problems. Some of the problems of rashes and itchiness and painful urination can be hereditary or because of unhygienic conditions during childhood.

Estrogen plays a very important role in making sure that our reproductive organs are functioning the way they should and the lack of estrogen for some reason or the other can also create these symptoms in the long run. It is therefore very important to maintain a good lifestyle and healthy habits to make sure that your reproductive system is always working in the best manner possible.
