Tips of Getting Pregnant

Becoming a parent may not be the easiest thing you have to do in your life. However, it is also a very important aspect of a family and of our evolution and therefore if you have taken the decision to go ahead and have children, you are helping yourself in your inner development. Of course, now the first step to take towards this wonderful objective is to become pregnant. Becoming pregnant may be easy for you, or it may not be as easy as you thought it should be. However, we are trying to give you some guidelines on what you should do to become pregnant without too many problems.
The first thing you should do before you go any further is to visit your doctor. Make sure you are healthy enough to become pregnant, that you don’t have any kind of viral infections which may not be good for you as a pregnant person. Also, check out all the necessary injections that you should have to prevent any other problems that you should take as once you become pregnant, you may not be allowed to have them.
Once you have done that and have found out all the information you need to know to keep yourself very healthy for this special task that your system is going to undertake, it is time to time your ovulation cycle. Your ovulation last approximately 6 days, as this is the fertile cycle and this is when you will be able to conceive. This period comes about 14 days before your next period; however, it may vary a little depending on the duration of your regular cycle.
You can also try to have intercourse between days 10 and 18 of the cycle. Day one is the first day of your periods and you can count from there onwards. Having intercourse on a two or three day basis during this time should do the trick. There are also ovulation kits available at the local medical store which you can use to make sure you are trying to conceive on the right day. The ovulation kit works on the basis of your body temperature. Your body is hotter by about 0.8 degrees when you ovulate.
How much is too much? Please don’t take the whole process as an obsession which will create a stressful situation instead of a pleasant and fun generating one. Having a child should be something spontaneous and although you may be eager to know that you are getting pregnant and you may be working on that goal with all your energy, it is very important to have a stress free relationship for it to actually function. Sometimes, our own stress levels create the imbalance that does not allow us to become pregnant on the first place.
Give yourself time before you start panicking, because if you were taking contraceptives to become pregnant then it may take some time for your system to go back to its normal fertile state. Also, if you or your partner smokes, try to cut down or stop smoking altogether. This is a very good change to quit smoking as you have a very good excuse to do so. Smoking affects the ovulation and sperm counts and can easily make you unfertile.
If however you are still not able to get pregnant, then it may be a good idea to contact your doctor again and get his advice. Try not to get too caught up in the stress of getting pregnant and enjoy your normal life, as being surprised to find you are pregnant can be a very rewarding experience.
