How To Treat Blackheads
Open comedo is the other name for blackheads but most people are comfortable referring to the skin problem as the latter. Blackhead is a skin condition where excess oils are collected in the duct of the sebaceous gland thus forming a bump with a black head in the opening. This skin problem may not be as serious as acne but it still deserves to be paid attention to sooner or later; when neglected, it can also develop into something as worse as a breakout.
There are easy steps on how to treat blackheads. They do keep coming back when you pop them but there is a totally different thing to deal with it so you do not have to worry about curing them over and over again.
- A lot of people pop the blackheads manually. This could work with the milder ones but the deep-seated ones can stubbornly hang in there until your skin bleeds. For cases like this, it would be advisable to use facial scrub or a solution using iodine salt dissolved in boiling water. You let the water cool down before applying onto your face and your goal is to soften the accumulation. It may sound laborious but worth it once you found out its effect.

- Eating lots of green leafy vegetables and fruits would help detoxify the body. Drinking citrus fruit juice a few minutes before meals is also advisable to cleanse the body of toxins and break down food properly instead of producing toxins.

Sometimes, the unstable temperature in the surroundings affects the skin and causes the sebaceous glands to produce more oil than necessary. - Frequently washing the face with water can cause the sebaceous gland to be overactive as more oils are stripped from over-washing. Do it only twice or thrice daily and with a mild soap to avoid developing blackheads and acne.
The steps on how to treat blackheads are easy but strictly following them is necessary to gain better results. Otherwise, you will only find yourself looking for other treatment methods if one does not work out the way you want it. Remember that eliminating the blackheads does not happen overnight. It could take a few weeks to months before you can enjoy crystal clear face, free of blackheads.
