Knowledge of the symptoms of Eclampsia
Eclampsia in pregnancy is a condition that affects young women and elderly women in their first months of pregnancy and which manifests in the form of seizures. Eclampsia normally occurs after pre-eclampsia has not been treated properly. The seizures can be very severe and can cause death to the mother and the baby as well. The causes of this disease are not really well known but there are four basic stages that characterize the symptoms of the disease.
Pregnancy Eclampsia
Eclampsia is one of the life-threatening complications of pregnancy. It can happen during pregnancy or as a postpartum eclampsia. Eclampsia the most severe classification of Pregnancy Induced Hypertension (PIH). There is the presence of convulsions or seizures but is not related to any brain conditions. A pregnant woman who previously had preeclampsia can develop seizures or sometimes coma. The term toxemia is usually referred to preeclampsia and eclampsia.
